Speaker: Tim Lo
Tim grew up in the academically intense world of Boston, where becoming a doctor, lawyer, or Ivy League professor seemed like the only acceptable life paths. But instead of following that script, he took a plot twist and became a youth pastor—so now he "works" with straight A's: Academically Achieving Affluence Aspiring Asian American Adolescents.
These days, he calls sunny San Diego home, but he's also lived in LA and near New York City. He's obsessed with tech, fashion (especially sneakers and watches), and strategy—but not enough to actually spend much money on them. He's subscribed to about 1,700 YouTube channels (a chaotic mix of teenage trends, pop culture, and his own random interests) and has "sacrificed" himself for the cause by consuming over 1,000 boba drinks and 1,000 slices of pizza... strictly for youth ministry purposes, of course. Oh, and as of this moment? 57,900 Brawl Stars trophies.
For his mental health, Tim is currently on a social media detox and takes a weekly 40-hour break offline. When people ask what he's up to, he’ll tell them he has a "board meeting" (a.k.a. skateboarding by Mission Beach). Mostly, he's just spending time with his wife and three teenage kids, soaking up real-life moments and good vibes.
